Obituary of Douglas “Murray” LISKE

September 21, 1935 – Russell, Manitoba
July 3, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Douglas “Murray” Liske, beloved husband of Beryl Joyce Liske (nee   Raincock), passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the age of 84 years.

Murray was born in Russell, Manitoba on September 21, 1935.  He married Beryl in 1959 and moved to Calgary, Alberta, in 1964.

Murray was a member of the United Commercial Travellers and the Independent Order of Foresters.

Murray enjoyed square dancing, curling, hockey, golf, and travelling.  Beryl and Murray were avid travellers spending winters in Mexico and the Southern USA in their RV.  They travelled across Canada and went on many family vacations flying to Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Fiji, Hawaii, Venezuela, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean Islands.

Besides Murray’s loving wife Beryl, Murray is survived by his daughter Leann Liske-Patton, son-in-law Derk Patton, and granddaughter Maya Patton who was the “apple of his eye”, of Calgary, Alberta.  Murray is also survived by his aunt Katie Butcher of Kelowna, BC, as well as numerous cousins, and friends. Murray was predeceased by his parents, Herb and Vera Liske of Inglis, Manitoba.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
