Condolences
Belated condolences, Stewart. I've only just learned from Linda of George's passing and wanted to be in touch. I was sad to have my childhood friend leave our lives many years ago and confess to be momentarily happy to hear he turned up...until the nature of the news fully registered. Many trips home to Stellarton included a visit to Helen to ask on him.
We were so fortunate to have grown up in our neighborhood when we did, running around pretty darned care free compared to today, always something to do and lots of kids outside. Innocent days. George and I used to have some wicked derbies to race down the hills. We'd usually crash before Sherry Ellis' place, or the,Ellsworth's. Street hockey was always a favourite of George's, he wasn't much for skating. Many rainy days playing Lego at the Robertson's, in their front porch...and planning a nighttime garden raid at Rasmussen's perhaps! George was always a good friend, and a former member of the Cambey Cats ball team.
He will continue to be missed.

I remember you from school and with playing with You and all the kids on Belmont and at the top of Cambey Ave. I hope you had a good life. Rest In Peace.
