Vernon Nelson of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, on Monday, July 6, 2020 at the age of 78 years.

Vern had many passions in his life. In his early years he was a true cowboy. Vern was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed camping, quading, snowmobiling, horseshoes and fishing, as well as many other things. He was very proud to have been a small business man and he owned and operated Forest Lawn Towing for many years. Vern’s pride and joy were all of his grandchildren. 

Vern is survived by his two children, Stephen and Cathy; three grandchildren, Frankie, Chantelle, and Cassidy (Ryan); and three great-grandchildren, Leo, Kohen and Frankie. He was predeceased by his wife Irene.

The family would like to extend their thanks to all of the amazing staff on unit 36, that cared for him in his final days and to all of the staff that cared for Vern at Bow View Manor over the past several years.
