Condolences
My wife, Claude Vansier, was also at Simpsons, as a consequence I came to know him. We were both fond of this lovely man. God Bless.
Dear Michelle and family,
I was very saddened to learn of your loss. I got to know him quite well during his time at Southwood - spending lunches and dinners with him as I visited with my client. We had so much fun watching old Jackie Gleason shows on my tablet. He would get tears in his eyes laughing when Jackie Gleason danced. Louis introduced me to some wonderful old French music, his favourite song was Rossignol by Luis Mariano. I learned the words so I could sing along and we did, loudly to the amusement of the staff and other residents. He always made me feel very special and was sure nobody sat in my chair. He loved having his dear friend Eddie visit, who I know must be feeling the loss also. My heart goes out to you and your family and I am sorry it took this long for me to find out. I will cherish my many memories of Louis with a smile - he gave me so many.
Sincerely,
Deborah
Chère Michelle, je garde de très bons souvenirs de votre famille! Je voulais vous offrir mes plus sincères condoléances à toi, Marie-Josée et Éric a l’occasion du décès de Louis. Mes pensées sont avec vous en ces temps difficiles.

I was privileged to be Louis's family doctor when he and Michele arrived in Alberta. One day, I asked Louis how much he was drinking and told him I would prefer if he only had one drink a night. Michele saw me a few weeks later and asked me to tell her exactly what had I told Louis to do. I said, one drink per night. She laughed. Louis had told her I wanted him to drink out of a taller, wider glass (which held more but was still just one drink!) I remember Louis with a smile whenever I am counselling people to drink less! Louis, I hope many will have "one drink" in your honour today.
With deepest sympathy to dear Michele and all the family on the loss of this wonderful man,
Dr Michele Moss
