Obituary of Frank Joseph ORTT

July 12, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta
Frank Ortt, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the age of 87 years.
Frank Ortt was born In Grenfell, SK where he grew up on the family farm that he later purchased. In his late teens he played baseball for the Grenfell Gems. He went to the University in Saskatoon. He later moved to Estevan where he met his loving wife June of fifty years that predeceased him in 2012. Frank was successful in the oil industry and moved to Calgary in 1968. The family commuted from Calgary to Grenfell during the Seeding and Harvest seasons for many years.
June and Frank enjoyed their winters in Palm Springs where Frank played shuffleboard and was famous for his ice cream. They traveled frequently visiting friends and family, and spent many hours on the dance floor together.
Frank is survived by his children, Charlene (Eddie), Wayne (Sue) and Darryl (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Justin, Jenna and Caden.
He also leaves behind his Loving companion and friend Jackie Spenard, his sister Marge, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his four brothers and parents.
