Uncle Sam was always a generous giving man. I fondly remember him giving my first bike at 7 or 8, no words were spoken but I rode that bike for many years. He came to my weekend Cub Camp, he was my sponsor at my confirmation, he had me work in his shop to pay for a day of skiing at Lake Louise. When I doubted whether Santa was real, he told me the story about Santa dropping presents off at his house, which made believe again. He gave me incredible memories fishing at Chain Lakes, Shuswap, and Vancouver Island. He taught me how to water ski. He always had the greatest green or brown Ford pickups. He will be missed by many.
