Obituary of Alan Man-Ping FUNG

Alan Man-Ping Fung, beloved husband of Susana Yuk-Mui Fung (nee Yu) of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2020 at the age of 90 years. 
 
Alan was born in Hong Kong on November 6, 1929. He married Susana on December 5, 1956, and moved his family to Canada in 1965 residing in Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa and Calgary.  
 
Early in his career, he was a Radio Operator with the British Merchant Navy, transitioned to Air Traffic Control communications at Dorval Airport after immigrating to Canada before becoming a Computer Operator at Telesat Canada, and ending as a sergeant with the Canadian Corp of Commissionaires in Ottawa.
 
Alan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shooting.  His other favourite pastimes included bicycling, drawing, playing the harmonica, tinkering on his electric keyboard and listening to classical music.
 
Besides his loving wife Susana, Alan is survived by his two sons, Vio (Judy Chung) of Markham, ON and George (Linh Luong); grandchildren, Joshua, Brayden and Andrew of Calgary, AB; and his two daughters, Lina (Rick Rogers) of Calgary, AB and May (Michel Nantel); and grandchildren, Jesse and Angela of Ottawa, ON.
