Addison Foley of Airdrie, AB, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the age of 13 years at the Alberta Children’s Hospital where she was surrounded by the love of family.

Our lives were blessed on January 24, 2007 when our sweet girl arrived – fast and furiously. In her short life, Addy exuded bravery, strength and determination inspiring all who knew her. Her smile, laughter and endless joy will forever be in our hearts.

She was an honour roll student at Our Lady Queen of Peace School where she adored her teachers and inspired her friends. She danced with Elements Dance Company in Airdrie and The Rollettes in California.

Addy was joyful, strong willed and determined. She loved horseback riding, acting, swimming, arts and crafts, sledge hockey, wheelchair basketball and boating. None of us stood a chance against her when it came to card or dice games (and she knew that).

Addy is survived by her loving sister Kadence; proud parents, Shanna Leavitt & Craig Foley of Airdrie, AB; adoring grandparents, Joanne & Dave Leavitt of Airdrie, AB; Jim & Bernice Foley of Medicine Hat, AB and devoted puppies, Dakota and Foley.

She is also lovingly remembered by Jodi & Tim Simonson, McKenzie & Abby Connelly, Kohl, Kian & Kobe Simonson; Amanda, Cory, Carter & Harper Balint; Katie & Derek Warr; Russell, Krista & Brielle Foley; Aaron, Hayden & Mateya Sept; Teri & Kelsey Gooch. All of whom Addy dearly loved.

The family would like to thank the PICU, neurology and cardiology departments at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Their care, compassion and strength have provided those who love Addy with both comfort and peace.

Addy will be remembered for her laugh and how deeply she loved.

The family will be having a private service on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. that others can join via livestream and the link will be posted here at a later date.
