Obituary of Mary ZADVORNY (nee Pidskalney)

October 18, 1931 – Prince Albert

July 20, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Zadvorny announce her passing in Calgary, AB, on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the age of 88 years.

Mary was born and raised in Prince Albert, SK. She married Peter Zadvorny and they raised their five children in Prince Albert.  They moved to Saskatoon, SK and following Peter’s passing she moved to Calgary, AB.

Mary was very proud of all of her family.  She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
 

Mary is survived by her son, Larry (Diane) Zadvorny, son Robert (Margo) Zadvorny, daughter Denise (Roger Arsenault) McLellan, son Richard (Elisha) Zadvorny, Leo Detillieux, Lee-Anne Denea, Gary Bisang, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter; parents, Pete and Rose Pidskalney; in-laws, Wasyl (George) and Katherine Zadvorny, brother George Pidskalney, daughter, Linda Detillieux and grandson, Darcy Zadvorny.

Mary will be sadly missed as a mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
