Condolences
It’s always a shock to discover that someone you know has passed away. Gary was my principal when I taught at A.E. Cross Junior High School in the early 70s before my second daughter was born. He was a very kind and caring person, and I appreciated his mentorship. Maureen McLeod
Marlene and Family;
When I opened the paper this morning I had a good cry and then I looked at Gary’s picture - that brought a smile. I remember all the family get-togethers on New Years Day. The special memory is Gabriola. Time on beach time exploring the island and all the years of Gary trying to get me to enjoy oysters. I laugh every time he welcomed my Dad and called him Slim. I am so at peace knowing Gary will be joining my parents and brother Jim and they will be so happy to welcome him.
All my love and prayers to you Marlene David and Michael Thank you for the great memories and the opportunity to spend time with your wonderful father and husband.
Sincerely
Vicki Fluker. Vicki Stobie. Daughter of Gordon and Betsy Stobie
Mr. Knott was my math teacher at King George Junior High. He made math easy and fun by using his Volvo as a example in each of the equations being studied. I also worked with Marlene while organizing the 1986 National Physiotherapy Congress in Calgary. Mr. Knott & Marlene gave me some very happy memories. My condolences to the Knott family.
