Sandy and family
We are very sad to hear of Shirley's passing. We knew her as such a kind, beautiful, and caring person. Mom has known Shirley for many many years and always enjoyed her company whether it be discussing curling, gardening, or Beauty Counselor! I remember the days when Dianna and I would spend time playing with you at your house next to Grandma Thompson in Alexander and when you moved to Brandon and how your Mom was always so welcoming to all. In the curling world, she was wonderful with the young kids as they learned to curl in the "Little Rockers". My boys began to curl in that program with your Mom. I'm so thankful that Mom and I got a chance to visit with you both in Calgary a few years ago. Our most sincere thoughts are with you at this sad time for you and your family. Our world has truly lost a beautiful soul and she will be ever remembered!

Shirley was a dear friend both on the curling ice and also enjoying many rounds of golf at the Wheat City Golf Course in Brandon, MB. Her helpful advice "Watch the club hit the ball!" continues to assist me to this day. Shirley was a very talented and gracious lady who touched the lives of so many of us and will be fondly remembered. My deepest sympathy is extended to all the family. Sincerely, Donna Vrooman
Sandy, Tim, Joel, Kelly and families,
We are saddened to hear of Shirley’s passing. We both agree she was one of the best women we ever knew. We are thinking of you at this time. Hugs and kisses❤️
Shirley was a beautiful woman whose wonderful smile was freely shared with all who had the good fortune to know her. We met in Alexander. Shirley was my first employer, trusting me to babysit her 2 precious children, Reg and Sandra. As a teenager, I was delighted to be invited to go along with the family for several family vacations at Clear Lake. Those trips were such fun for all and often included extended family and friends. Shirley and Mert were supportive and loving to me and to all of our family over many years. I am forever grateful for having had them in my life and cherish wonderful memories of the many times we shared. My deep condolences go out to Sandy and all of Shirley’s family. You have lost a beautiful loving soul. Sharing your loss at this difficult time. Cheryl Johnston, nee Pomeroy
