Obituary of Ethel GULLIVER (nee Lock)

July 24, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta
Ethel Gulliver of Calgary, AB passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020, at the age of 91 years.
Ethel was born in Bury, England on December 2, 1928, and immigrated to Canada in the late 1950s.
Ethel enjoyed taking care of the family, ballroom dancing, sewing and church. Ethel was an accomplished ballroom dancer and the most amazing mother a son could ever have. Her loving and caring nature made for a great environment to grow up in. She was a great teacher and confidant and we will miss her dearly. Ethel will be remembered for her loving smile, gentle nature, elegance and grace.
Ethel is survived by her sons, Gerald Johnston (Christal MacKinnon) and Robert Johnston (Susan Langhorn); grandchildren, Jade Johnston, and Cassandra Mackinnon; and two brothers Noah and Jim. Ethel was loved by many animals throughout her life, and Cache and Jaws will miss her. She was predeceased by her husband Harold Cecil Gulliver, brother Len and sisters, Bess, Flory, and Rene.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Rockyview Garden of Peace.
