Obituary of Pat HENLEY

January 8, 1958 – Sudbury, Ontario
July 28, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Pat Henley, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. Pat passed away peacefully surrounded in love in the presence of his loving sister Luanne Hancock and mother-in-law Sophie Clark. Pat is now holding hands in Heaven with his wife Janet. 

Pat was a simple man, proud of his Saskatchewan roots, the Saskatchewan roughriders and coming from the farm.  We still wonder how he survived the antics of rural life! One of his favorite things to do is watch sports, The Montreal Canadians and Saskatchewan Roughriders were his first priorities. He spent most of his life in Calgary after experiencing the big cities of Lethbridge and Edmonton, gaining many friendships along the way, and many are still dear friends today.  One of Pat’s greatest joys was his fur kids Molly and Sam, who will miss his timbit runs and many treats they received during the day.   

Pat is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Luanne and Mel Hancock; mother-in-law, Sophie Clark;  sisters-in-law, Jo-Ann Clark and Debbie Leicht; brother-in-law Roy Clark, nieces Crysta Hancock and Kamilah Leicht; nephews, Scott Hancock, Jacob (Lindsay) Leicht, Taylor and Torrance Clark; and three grand-nieces and nephews, Toni and Kazlo Thompson and Noah Leicht. 

Pat was predeceased by his wife, Janet in 2017, parents, Iva and Howard Henley; step-father Frank Peschke and brother-in-law Darcy Leicht.

The family wants to thank all of his friends who came by for visits and all those who helped with errands and driving support.
