Obituary of Barbara PEDEN
February 11, 1922 – Wick, Scotland February 28, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Barbara beloved wife of William “Cork” Peden of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2018 at the age of 96 years. Barbara was born on February 11, 1922 in Wick, Scotland to Alexander and Margaret Sinclair. She learned to walk on the ship on the family’s return voyage to Canada. Barbara spent the majority of her childhood in Ponteix, Saskatchewan and upon high school graduation, she moved to Calgary where she joined the Bank of Montreal. She worked her entire career at the Bank of Montreal. Barbara and Cork loved to travel, spending time with family and keeping a meticulous flower garden during the beautiful Calgary summers. Besides her loving husband, Cork Peden, Barbara is survived by her sister Isobelle Clark of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, six nephews and three nieces. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, her sisters and brothers-in-law Marg and Al Dyck, Maddie and Paul Larochelle, her brother and sister-in-law Clyne and Donna Sinclair and brother-in-law Robert Clark.
