Condolences
Jennifer and family my deepest condolences for the loss of you Dad. Knowing both you and Alayna gave me a glimpse on what an amazing man he was to raise two wonderful daughters, may all those wonderful adventures you shared help you through this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of working with my big teddy bear Bert for over 20 years. I will miss his smile and his gruff but loving nature. His carrot cake and baking was the best ever. We will all miss him. Best, Angela
I had the pleasure of working with Bert for 11 years. He was the most genuine person you could ever meet. The fondest of memories are of Bert and his passion for music. Coming to work at the wee hours of the morning and there Bert would be playing the air guitar with the music at the highest decibel possible with the biggest grin on his face. If you were having a rough day, Bert would always play a song he knew you loved to put a smile on your face. The halls of heaven are now filled with music. My deepest condolences to the Mattice family. Bert will be greatly missed by all. Rest In Peace my friend.
Dad passed his passion for music onto me. Throughout the years we enjoyed discovering new artists and catching as many concerts as we could. I’m pretty sure together we saw well over 30 concerts together. Such cherished memories I hold in experiencing music with him over the years. Concerts will never be the same, but I’ll be sure to carry his memory with me.
i would like to share a story of when i asked Bert to DJ a surprise 50th birthday party for my wife.
The evening started the way most parties start, lots of socializing and not much dancing.
as the evening went on everyone seemed to loosen up and that included Bert.
The music got cranked up a few hundred decibels and Bert put on a show.
Air guitar, head bopping and hair flowing.
One of the guests came up to me and said my DJ was hammered, but little did they know Bert didn't drink, he was just having a good time
That was 17 years ago and i will never forget the fun we had that evening thanks to Bert.
My most Heartfelt condolences to the Mattice family, Bert will be deeply missed.

Bert spent many hours bike riding during summer holidays. He would be gone after breakfast and arrive home just around dinner. One July early in the month he fell off his bike on the gravel roads, talk about road rash. Even though he didn't break any bones, he was laid up all summer. Labour day weekend arrived and he was so excited he could finally get back on the bike. I don't think he made it past the house before he fell again and spent the fall healing. Carol
The summer dad took a week or two off to spend with us. We went to sylvan lake water slides, go-karting, calaway park, and way too much chocolate at dairy queen. It was the best summer I can remember with him. We had fun, we laughed so much and spent so much time together. And of course all the music he played as we drove to all our excursions! Missing him so much right now..
