Obituary of Jeffrey John CUELL

September 17,1960 - Lethbridge, Alberta             

July 22, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta   

Jeff Cuell passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the age of 59 years.

Jeff was born in Lethbridge Alberta, he later moved to Peace River and graduated Grade 12 at Glenmary High School and received a CCIB degree. He was a member of the Conservative Party and volunteered with Rotary Club Calgary North and Banff. He was a commercial and general insurance specialist, Entertainment Director for CP Hotel, and an accomplished musician who taught music in B.C.

Jeff loved all sports; people would describe him as the best hockey goalie they have ever seen. He was also talented in football, golf, table hockey, pool, and ping pong. Jeff had a vast collection of Hockey cards which he was very proud of. He also had a passion for Jazz music and old movies. He was very knowledgeable of these subjects and shared this with his friends and family.

He is survived by his common-law spouse Marie whom he adored was a focus for him he felt loved and part of a family he never had. He is also survived by his son, Jimi Cuell of Nanaimo, BC; his daughter Laura Cuell; his step-sons, Philippe Williams of Calgary AB, Fred Rousseau of Calgary AB, and Asa Ballantyne of Saskatchewan; his grandson John; his brothers, Jean Paul, Collin Meek, and Michael and Tommy; his birth mother Gloria Meek and Walter and Suzanne. He will also be remembered by Guy the cat and Jackson, the little dog who stole his heart. He was predeceased by his brother-in-laws William Bellegarde and Richard Rousseau.

Jeff will be remembered for his smile, his kind heart and for being the best husband anyone could hope for.
