Obituary of Ellen Gertrude SIMONE (nee Loose)

June 12, 1935 – July 26, 2020 

Ellen Simone of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the age of 85 years. She was loved by many, and will be dearly missed.

Daughter of Carl William and Ethel Loose, Ellen was born in Vulcan, AB and raised on the family farm with her brother Bobby and infant sister Barbara Ann, both predeceased. She attended MRC in Calgary with her College 'sisters' sharing many fond and fantastic memories together. Ellen married Ralph Simone in 1957, and they eventually settled in Lakeview in 1964 where they raised their three girls. We will remember Ellen for her brilliant blue eyes, her quick wit, and her passion for travel.

Predeceased by her husband Ralph, Ellen is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Kane (Brian), Christine Simone (Richard Truscott), and Cathy Simone; grandchildren, Riley and Carly Truscott; extended family, and many lifelong dear friends.

In her last days, Ellen's courage and strength were truly admirable, and she never lost her sense of humour, her wit or her charm.
