Obituary of Gloria Isobel BROWN

1929 – Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan 2018 – Okotoks, Alberta Gloria Isobel Brown passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018 in the Foothills Country Hospice at the age of 88 surrounded by family and friends. Gloria grew up in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. After graduating with a degree in nursing, she practiced her career in Edmonton, Meadow Lake and North Battleford. In 1953, Gloria and her husband started farming in the DeWinton area and remained there until moving to Okotoks in 2012. Gloria loved her family, friends, children and animals. She generously volunteered in the community for many years. Gloria leaves behind her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brad and Lori, and Hal; grandchildren, Ryan (Katie), Jared (Madelynn), and Calvin; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; four great-grandchildren; and other extended family members. Gloria was predeceased by her loving husband of sixty-three years, Jack; daughter Laurie; parents Fred and Mabel; and brothers Fritz and Goog. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched over the years. A Private Family Service will be held.
