Obituary of Maxine Leah HENDRICKS

Maxine Leah Hendricks of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at the age of 70 years.

Maxine was born in Lethbridge, AB on November 8, 1949. She lived in Turin, Alberta for most of her childhood before later moving to Calgary, Alberta where she stayed for the majority of her adult life.

Maxine worked as an Administrative Assistant in Banking Services for a number of financial institutions during her working life, and when she was phasing to retirement she also worked in a flower warehouse where she enjoyed making arrangements. Maxine loved to dance, be with friends and spend time with her mother, Lola, whom she adored.  Maxine retired to Nanaimo, BC in 2016 where she resided with her partner, Terry, and their dog, Winston, until 2019 when she relocated to Calgary due to health reasons.

Maxine is survived by her two children, Troy Allen Winget and daughter-in-law Shannon Robinson, and son Robert James Patrick Cornwall and his three children, Leah Gale, Chetlan Cornwall, and Brittany Cornwall.  As well, Maxine leaves behind her partner of thirty-three years, Terry Lawson of Nanaimo, BC and her step-children, step-daughter Gina Lawson and grandson, Dexter Lawson and step-son Christopher Tye Lawson. Maxine is also survived by her brothers, Alvin Hendricks and sister-in-law Marvina Hendricks, of Coaldale, AB and Martin Hendricks of Lethbridge, AB, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Maxine was predeceased by her mother, Lola Weist, and her father, Harold Hendricks.

Maxine’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Cedars Villa, Colonel Belcher Retirement Residence, and the Mount Royal Care Centers in Calgary, Alberta who took exceptional care of Maxine while she resided at each of these facilities.

Maxine will be laid to rest in Enchant, AB on September 19, 2020 with a private graveside service. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Maxine’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
