Obituary of Deborah Lynn Brown

April 10, 1965 – Saint John, New Brunswick
July 6, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Debbie Brown, beloved wife of Paul and cherished mother of Shelby and Carter, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at the age of 55 years.

Debbie and Paul married in 1986 and moved to Calgary from the Maritimes in 1996 with their daughter Shelby.  A little brother Carter completed their family soon after that.  Debbie was a loving and nurturing wife and mother who always made sure her family was taken care of, happy and together.

Some of their fondest times were spent cooking for her family, being with her kids wherever may be, and gardening at home with her husband. She especially enjoyed growing tomatoes, and peppers, apples, and plums, and then making jams and jellies, and sharing them with everyone she loved.

Mom was always happy to bake her legendary pizza, her “secret recipe tea biscuits”, and of course her delicious coconut orange tartlets.  She was an avid knitter, and music lover. She loved going to concerts with Paul.  She was always happy to be walking with her dog Duke, where she would often stop and chat with neighbours.  Debbie was the guiding light of her family, and she carried her own radiant sunshine with her, affecting every life she touched.

She will be deeply missed and always remembered. Debbie is survived by her devoted husband Paul, her children Shelby and Carter, brothers Randy (Marianne) and Scott. She was predeceased by her sister Marjorie. She is also survived by her numerous family and friends who will always remember her fondly.
