Obituary of Pamela WALLBRIDGE (nee Hough)

November 21, 1946 – Liverpool, United Kingdom
August 10, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Pamela Wallbridge (nee Hough) passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020.

Pam was born in Bootle, England in 1946. During her childhood she lived in England, Australia, and New Zealand. In 1967 she married James M.E. Wallbridge and they moved to Ft. McMurray and later to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She worked at Mount Royal University in the English Department for twenty-four years, retiring in 2012. Pam was a talented artist; she loved painting, sculpting, drawing, silversmithing, needlecraft, and many other forms of creativity. She also enjoyed literature, gardening, preforming arts and film, and a relaxing cup of tea. Most of all, Pam was inexorable in her pursuit of knowledge. She was a person of prodigious erudition. Mum, you are and will always be my hero.

Pam is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Joe Lillis; granddaughter Elizabeth Lillis, and her sister Alayna Sefton. At Pam’s request there will be no Funeral Service. Immediate family will have a private gathering later. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Pam’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

In living memory of Pamela Wallbridge, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis and Holloway Funeral Homes, Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB T2S 2L5, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
