Obituary of Joan Phyllis EVERETT

Joan Phyllis (Hutchison) Everett of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the age of 84 years.

She was the youngest of seven children born to Alexander and Elizabeth Hutchison in Claresholm, AB. She resided there until she married. At which point, she lived in a variety of areas in northern BC and Alberta before permanently moving to Calgary, AB. Whilst in Calgary she worked at Gulf Resources in Accounts Payable for twenty years. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family and loved seeing all of her grandchildren. She was partial to her Scottish heritage and was enamored with Scottie dog memorabilia, bagpipes, and tartan. She was an avid sports enthusiast, cheering for the Calgary Stampeders and the Montreal Canadiens.

Joan is survived by her three children, Patti (Cotton), Greg (Gwen), and Brad; her eight grandchildren, Kyle (Christy), Alisa (Bobby), Kayla (Will), Jordan, Connor, Lauren, Logan, and Carter, and three great-grandchildren, Ridge, Holt, and Reata. As well as by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and six siblings.
