Obituary of Colin Michael TAYLOR

Colin Taylor of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the age of 38 years.

Colin was born on January 3, 1982 in Calgary. He attended schools in Calgary, Red Deer and Grande Prairie, graduating from Grande Prairie Composite High School in 2000. Colin also graduated from University of Calgary in 2005 with a Bachelor of Commence in Petroleum Land Management. He worked as a Landman for various Oil and Gas companies and was a member of Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Growing up Colin was a member of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. He played soccer from kindergarten through grade twelve and  basketball in grades eight through twelve continuing during his twenties and early thirties.

Colin was an avid traveler, backpacking in Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia as well as scuba diving in Costa Rica. Favourite family trips were to Sandpoint, Idaho with family friends.

Colin will be remembered for his smile, his sense of humour, his strong work ethic and his great love of his daughter Hailey.

Colin is survived by his parents Michael and Jackie Taylor of Parksville, BC; his sister Cara Gibbs; and nephew Maguire Gibbs of Calgary, AB, and his much loved daughter Hailey Taylor of Calgary, AB.  He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Mary Taylor of Calgary, AB, and Frank and Elizabeth Cunningham of Trochu, AB; and his cousin Grant Cunningham of Three Hills, AB.
