Condolences
Hello Chris, Adam, Laura and Kate. Although I didn't know you I knew Ernie only as a playwrite. I was the music composer for his play "Rumplestilzkin Busts Out". That was a long time ago but it seems like yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed that whole trip with Ernie and although it didn't survive it was indeed a pleasure. I believe Ernie was mostly describing himself in many ways so I got to know him that way.
Working with that play got me started on a lifetime of musical endeavors. I just completed a website for that path which includes a section on the play. bobreadmusic.com
I am so sorry to hear (quite late I admit) about Ernie's passing and know you have lost a most interesting and intelligent husband and father.
I have thought about Ernie over the years and will miss him even though I haven't seen or worked with him in 50 years.
My condolences
Dear Carefoot family, this is a very sad situation, I am sorry I am so late. Just want you to know I worked with Ernie at Kodak for years and always thought of him as a very smart and thoughtful person. He will always be remembered

Dear Chris & family. Last visit with Ernie was lunch in Calgary four years ago. What a wonderful catch up. We spent many holidays, camping, as kids, and visits between Toronto and Ottawa. Then distance moved us away from each other. Aunt Ruth, your mom, always kept us feeling close to you and your family. Chris, stay strong, you and your family have wonderful memories.
Ernie, ‘cousin’ you will forever be in my heart. RIP
Chris, Adam, Kate and Laura- our thoughts are with you. So saddened to hear the Ernie passed away. We have so many great memories - he was a wonderful husband and father. We had a great time in Boston with him , Enjoyed many Sunday’s with the family in Mississauga. Jim will be having a wee Ardbeg to toast in his honour. Thinking of you all today May he Rest In Peace. Love Lillian, Jim and family
Chris, Adam, Laura and Katie, we are heartbroken to hear about Ernie’s passing. Even though it’s been a long time since we have seen each other, we have such fond memories of you all. Ernie was such a fun loving guy and cared so much for you, Chris and his family. I had so many wonderful visits with him when our paths crossed at the Grey Nuns Hospital and he would update me on how you were doing. You were truly blessed to have him in your lives. Hold dear your wonderful memories and keep them close to your heart. They will give you comfort during this very difficult time. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Take care.
Dear Chris, Adam and Laura. We were very saddened to hear about Ernie. Ernie and I joined Kodak Health Imaging about the same time in the early 80’s and we have great memories of our days working together at Kodak. He was a dedicated, hardworking, fun loving guy who made the job much more enjoyable for everyone. We are very sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Bob Gollaher and Jamie MacDonald.
Katie, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I pray that God brings His peace which passes all understanding to you all and gives you comfort during this very sad time.

While I didn't have the fortune of meeting Ernie, I work with his son Adam who is a very kind, smart, enjoys adventure and witty person. Clearly traits passed on from his father based on the other comments. My heart felt condolences to you Adam, your mom, siblings and extended family and friends. .
