Obituary of Blaženka STIPANOV (nee Peranić)

Blaženka Stipanov beloved wife of Ivo Stipanov of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the age of 74.

Blaženka was born in Preko, Croatia on February 4, 1946 and moved to Calgary in 1975.

Blaženka was particularly proud of her five grandchildren, Mark, Austin, Linda, Christine and David, and had a passion for Croatian folklore, singing traditional Croatian and Dalmatian songs, baking kolači, watching sports, working on needle point and helping and visiting those she knew were sick or in need.

Blaženka is survived by her husband Ivo, daughter Rahela (Tom) Essery and family, son Joško (Sogna) Stipanov and family, her sister Ana Peranić and brothers, Franjo Peranić and family and Josip Peranić and family.  Blaženka was predeceased by her sister Jelica and parents Ivan and Marija.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 14 Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Blaženka’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
