Condolences
I was so saddened to see Randie’s photo on the In Memorium page in the JASNA newsletter. I enjoyed Randie’s company in Sprigged muslin all those years ago and admired her energy in all she did, cycling, hiking, travelling. We met by chance on Vancouver island a few years ago and hoped she’d be able to stay with us sometime. I am sure she will be missed very much.
I was shocked to learn that Randie was ill. She was always so cheerful and vital when I saw her. She was still teaching pre-school when we met. She cycled everywhere. I filled in for her with the Jane Austen Dancers after a a car sideswiped her on her bike. She had a badly bruised hip. She and Jeff often traveled to see her children and grandchildren in Asia. Later she moved on to teaching at Bow Valley College. I think I remember her at Contra Dancing and Sacred Circle Dancing (once or twice.) She and I crossed paths at a book festival, and often at the Samaritan and other used-goods sales. I remember Randie as smiling a lot, cycling like she meant it, and offering several keen insights to scenes we both observed. I’m sorry she’s gone. I’ll miss her.

So sorry to hear of Randi's passing. I met her at Sprigged Muslin dancing for JASNA and also at the Unitarian Church. Randi was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable dancer who always had a smile and encouragement for everyone. She will be much missed.
So sad to hear of Randi's passing. i met her at the Calgary Unitarian Church, and at the Jane Austin folk dancing meeting, almost simultaneously. She was a sweet person, always ready to lend a hand, and generous with her time and smiles. I loved how she gave her all to anything she was involved with. I enjoyed watching her dance at the JAS events. She was happy to say "Yes" when we were short of ushers at church. I'll miss her greatly, and send my deepest condolences to Jeff and family.
