Obituary of Wai Kuen MARK

September 1, 1936 – Kaiping, China

September 6, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

 

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Wai Kuen Mark (麥余惠娟) of Calgary, AB, on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the age of 84 years.

 

Wai Kuen was born in Kaiping of Guangdong Province in China. She moved to and raised her family in Hong Kong before making Calgary her permanent home for almost forty years. Wai Kuen found great joy in cooking, knitting, gardening, travelling and singing. Wherever she went, whomever she befriended, she left a legacy of generosity, compassion and love. Her smile was beautiful and forever lasting.

 

Wai Kuen is loved and survived by her daughters, Anna, Helen, Mary and Judia; her stepson Lapkuen, by her adoring grandchildren, Dexin, Deyi, Dewo, Matthew, Connie, Justin, Alex and Megan; and she will be fondly remembered by all her sons-in-law, step daughter-in-law, step-grand daughters-in-law and step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her late husband Kun Wuk.
