Condolences
I would like to pass on my deepest condolence and sympathy to James's family and friends. I am so sorry I just recently find out of James passing. We both worked together at CFB Shearwater and were on board HMCS Athabaskan together and we both work at CFB Bagotville back in the early eighties. James was like a big brother and a mentor to me. It is very hard to express my feeling of sadness in a few words. I have nothing but the upmost respect and admiration for James. I remember James as being a leader and motivator. While at sea for extended time, James would always find something to help boost our moral and help us going through days of hard work and stress. James was a man you could count on. I will miss James but he will never forgotten as he is my military brother.

Dear Dorothy and Family,
I loved my cousin Jim. He brought joy and laughter to my life and the lives of many others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. I will always remember, after not being in touch for 30 years, I phoned him and repeated one of his favourite lines from a movie, " Hug me. Kiss me. Take me to the Casbah." He knew it was me right away. He joined me at a book club meeting in Musquodoboit Harbour and purposely made comments to " stir the pot " and cause raised eyebrows. He made this world a happier place. I believe God needs a little humour in Heaven so he hauled Jim in a little early. He's probably telling God His name is dog backwards. Although we have been living in different provinces, I will miss my dear cousin. This world is a little darker without his smile and spirit. Joined with Dorothy, they made a dynamite couple. Let's remember him by emulating his kindness and love of humanity. With a sad heart we have to say goodbye to a true gentleman and outstanding human being. Sending love from BC, Cousin Shirley.
So sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I remember him visiting at the office often when picking and dropping Dorothy off and the fun times at the Dartmouth Seniors Center. Was telling my son this morning about the two Dalmations Jim and Dorthy had that ate the inside of their car. Many memories shared with great friends. Im very sorry Dorothy.

I remember Jim well from my second posting at Shearwater. He was the Chief Warrant Officer that managed the Sergeant's Seminar that I attended. We got along well as we were both Aircraft Electricians. Jim was a well respected leader and well liked by all. He will be missed. Another veteran gone too soon.
We were so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. We remember Jim and his sense of humour as he always left someone with a smile or chuckle. Mikes dad John always appreciated his thoughtfulness and presence with celebrated occasions. Your in our thoughts and prayers. Mike and Darlene
