Karl Gordon Doore (Pohksiisinakiwan) Little Cree Man passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 on the Siksika Nation at the age of 50 years old.

Karl lived a private, simple and humble life always known for his big smile. He was a family man and enjoyed family outings, barbeques with abundance of fun and laughter. His inner strength and character with his strong faith made people gravitate towards him. His laughter and genuine kindness towards all students is reflected in his bussing. Karl took over Doore bussing in 1999 and has driven bus for 32 years. He was indeed a Friendly Giant to all he met and was certainly a role model. Karl during his life enjoyed hockey, WWE (wrestling), World of wheels, Monster trucks to mention a few. Karl loved music of the 80’s hard rock & roll and then later on Christian music.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Erica Many Heads of 32 years;  his precious children, Kyle (Amber), Delaney (Amber) and Sophie;  his step-father Dave Shingoose; his treasured grandchildren Karl Jr, Slater, Kittie and Shadow; his brothers, Michael Right Hand, Merlon (Stacey), Keon (Erica), Brandie, and Lee Eagle Rib; sisters Charlene, Janice, Melissa (Angus), Toni Good Eagle, Pam (Fred) Rabbit Carrier, and Stella Wolf Child; his mother-in-law Muriel Kirby, brother-in -law Roy (Candice) Many Heads, Peter Many Heads, sister-in law Aleisha (RJ) Many Heads and numerous nieces and nephews whom he treasured. Karl also leaves behind his uncles, Gordon (Christine) Big Snake, Bernard St. Goddard, Roy Stimson; aunties, Yvonne, Elizabeth, Leslie, and Justine Stimson; and his special friends and neighbours Collin Piche’ and Louise Good Eagle.

He was predeceased by his son Karl Jr, Mother Lorretta Doore and traditional parents Fred and Ruby Doore, father-in-law Dan Kirby, brother-in-law Eric Many Heads. Karl leaves behind the following extended family relatives: Big Snakes, Doore, Breakers, Stimson, Axe, Weasel Child, Crane, Three Suns, Eve Yellow Old Woman & Family, Medicine Shield, Crane Bear, St Goddard, Rides at the Door, Long Time Sleeping, Stone and numerous relatives from Siksika Nation and Browning Montana. The family apologizes for anyone they may have missed.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Merlon Doore, Siksika Nation on Monday September 14, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Box 204, Cluny AB) on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m..
