Obituary of Lois Blondina ZWICK (nee Lucht)

February 13, 1931 – Leader, Saskatchewan

September 11, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Lois Zwick, beloved wife of Walter Zwick of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the age of 89 years.

 

Lois was born on February 13, 1931 in Leader, SK to her parents, Rev. John Lucht and Lynda and was raised with six sisters and two brothers.

 

After marrying Walter in Regina in 1957, they moved to Saskatoon for two years before settling in Calgary, where the two welcomed their children and grandchildren. In her retirement, she loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling, long walks, and bird watching trips with Walter.

 

Lois was a member of the Foothills Lutheran Church and was involved in many church activities including Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, bible study and singing in the choir. She had a wonderful sense of humor and displayed incredible faith and strength during her battle with Leukemia.

 

Lois will be lovingly missed.

 

Besides her loving husband, Lois is survived by her children, Douglas (Christie), Gregory (Virginia) and Michelle; and her grandchildren, George, Katie, Mitchell, Gillian and Erica. Lois is also survived by her sisters, Marilyn, Linda,  Irma and Merceda. She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. John and Lynda Lucht; and siblings, Ester, Marie, Alfred and Ted.
