Condolences
I would like to pass on my condolences to the family of Stanley Ellwood. In particular I would like to mention Barbara Ellwood, Stanley’s daughter. I grew up right across the street from Barb. What a lovely, caring person. Even though Barb grew up with her grandparents, Mary and Tommy, she was always so excited to see her dad. She loved him more than words can say. Special condolences to Barb and her daughter Farin.
On behalf of the Kohl family, please accept our condolences on Stan’s passing. Stan and Joy were good neighbors of my mom and dad’s, and I worked with both when they were at the Government of Alberta. I will remember Stan as a man of humour and honour. Rest In Peace.
Our condolences
We will all miss you.

Our Condolences to you Maureen for the loss of your Brother and to Barb and Anita for the loss of their Father. Remembering the fun trip the four of us had travelling down to Mesa together. You and Joy are back together again, you made a good team. Rest in Peace. Dode and Bryan McBean
Our Deepest Condolences to you Maureen and Anita on the loss of your brother and father.
We are so thankful that we had a long telephone conversation with Stan about a month ago and shared some laughs and stories about our many past camping trips, 781 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadet camping and bush survival adventures, coffee time and innumerable other visits with Stan and Joy over the past almost 50 years. To this day, the 781 Squadron Crest that Stan tooled in leather is proudly displayed in the Squadron office. We are sure that Joy was waiting for him to join her and was probably thinking "What kept you?"
We will miss you and take consolation in knowing that the aches and pains of this life have ended and that Stan and Joy and Bruce are united once again.

When I think of you Uncle Stan, I think of all the great times all of us had together camping. I learned much from you. I have great memories of Auntie Joy, cousin Bruce, you and I at gooseberry and many other sites scattered around Bragg Creek. You were the last one to leave and now the heartache is complete, and now oddly it feels right that you have joined them. I will see you on the other side. Love you
Joe.
