Obituary of Edison EDA

January 8, 1976 – Philippines
September 13, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Edison Eda, beloved husband of Babielyn Eda, of Calgary, AB, passed away, after a long battle with Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma, on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the age of 44 years. 

Edison was born on January 8,1976, in the Philippines. He attended and graduated from Police Science Technology.  
 
Edison loved helping people rather than himself because he always wanted the best for others, especially for his family. He will be remembered as a best friend, amazing husband and loving dad. His love was most evident when he took on the role as both mom and dad to his children,  when his youngest child was one, after their mom left to work abroad for the family. 

He was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2018, when he found out that he had  stage 4  kidney cancer he was really upset because he said “I come in this country to help you guys but it turns out like this”.  While he fought the disease he also made memories with us that we will cherish,  but after a long battle he felt it was time and surrendered his life to God.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 10:00  a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
