Obituary of Vivian Bernadette CLARKE (nee Wozny)

November 1, 1926 – Mullingar, Saskatchewan            
September 15, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta   

In loving memory of Vivian Clarke, beloved wife of the late Bud Clarke passed away in Calgary AB on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 93 years of age. 

Vivian was born November 1, 1926 in Mullingar, SK. She spent her youth schooling and helping with the family farm. After high school, Vivian graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN) from St Paul’s Hospital School of Nursing in Saskatoon, SK. She was a highly regarded special duty nurse until her retirement. Vivian was also an accomplished sales representative for Beauty Counsellor, often winning provincial awards. 

Vivian and Bud were married in Edmonton, AB in 1951. They then moved to Regina, SK in 1958 and moved back to Edmonton, AB in 1960. Pool parties at the Clarkes are still a hot topic to this day. 

In 1983 Vivian and Bud purchased a recreational condo near Stanley Park in Vancouver, BC, and enjoyed it for over thirty years. 

In 1985, Vivian and Bud moved from Edmonton to Calgary to enjoy their children and grandchildren where she remained for the remainder of her life.
 
Vivian enjoyed bridge, sewing, entertaining, theatre, dancing, travelling, volunteering, swimming and taking long walks on the seawall in Vancouver with Bud. 

Vivian is lovingly remembered and survived by her three children, Colleen of Toronto, ON, Brad (Debbie), and Alison of Calgary, AB; along with Vivian’s grandchildren, Tyler of Calgary, AB, Matthew (Leila) and Jonathan (Nicole) both of Port Moody, BC, and Ryan (Kristy) of Coquitlam, BC; great-grandchildren, Coco and Shepherd of Port Moody, BC, and Noah and Makayla of Coquitlam, BC; her sister Jeannette Wozny (partner Hugh McNally) of Edmonton, AB; and all of her nieces, nephews and all their families.

Vivian was predeceased by her husband Bud, her parents, Dora and Stanley Wozny; and her brothers, Tony, Al, Zigmund, Chester, Rudy; and her sisters, Cecile Rebeyka and Helen Barker. 

Due to Covid-19, a Celebration of Vivian’s Life will be held at a later date.
