Obituary of William Edward LOCKE

August 25, 1927 – Uxbridge, Ontario
September 6, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

William Locke, beloved husband of Carrol Locke of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the age of 93 years. 

Bill was born in Uxbridge, ON, on August 25, 1927.He moved to Rocky Mountain House, AB, in 1960. On October 28, 1950, he married Carrol. Bill had a passion for camping and gardening. He had the best garden and yard and was very proud of his tomatoes each year. Bill will be remembered for his quiet, kind and loving nature. He will also be remembered for the great camping and fishing trips through the years that are part of many people’s fond memories. Bill was an employee with TransCanada (Alberta Gas Trunkline) for over thirty years. He spent many years as a heavy equipment operator and much of that in the west country.

Besides his loving wife Carrol of seventy years,  Bill is survived by his three children, Kendall (Jeannette) Locke of Calgary, AB, Darren (Carol) Locke of Red Deer, AB, and Kelly (Robert) Sehn of Cypress, TX; eight grandchildren, Michael (Rose), Adam (Janessa), Brianne Locke (Scott), Chelsey Sehn (Cody), Aric Locke (Shivonne), Camille (Ram) Boyer, Kendra (Aaron) Zilla, Courtney Sehn (Kaelen); and ten great-grandchildren, Noah, Ky, Odin, Liam, Isla, Dylan, Jace, Peyton, Emery, and Kyrin. He is also survived by his brother Joe (Carol) Locke of Blackstock, ON, sister-in-law Marge Locke of Lindsey, ON.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Laura Locke (nee Gourlie); brothers, Doug, John; and his sister Maime.
