Obituary of Melissa Lynn FOWLER

June 29, 1982 – Brooks, Alberta

Melissa Lynn Fowler of Calgary, AB, recently passed away at the age of 38 years.

Melissa was born June 29, 1982 in Brooks, AB, to Gord and Maureen Fowler, and moved to Calgary shortly thereafter where she lived the balance of her days.  

Melissa accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of getting her real estate license, managing Urban Measure, and especially raising her son, Michael.  

Melissa had a passion for animals, cooking, decorating, planning events, chasing the sun and traveling.  She was good at any sport she attempted and had many accomplishments in many different disciplines.  

Her most memorable vacations were her trips to Barbados, Palm Springs, Christina Lake, Vernon, and her many visits to Las Vegas. She was a volunteer of the FurEver Homes Rescue where she was an active foster dog Mom and found many dogs their forever homes.

Melissa will be most remembered for her fun loving nature, vibrant personality, her compassion for animals and her willingness to chip in and help anyone anytime.  Her greatest joy of her life was her son Michael.

Melissa is survived by her son Michael, her father Gord (Lisa), mother Maureen (Rob), brother Jordan (Alana), and her fur baby, Vito, as well as grandmothers Marjorie and Sheila; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.
