Obituary of Linda Kathrine PEDERSEN

April 19, 1965 – Victoria, British Columbia January 27, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Linda Pedersen beloved wife of Donald Brock of Calgary, AB, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2018 at the age of 52 years. Linda was born in Victoria, BC to Ernest and Mette Pedersen who had immigrated to Canada from Denmark in the early 1960’s. Sometime later, Linda and Mette moved to Calgary where she attended Lord Beaverbrook High School. At the age of 18, she met her future husband Don and worked in the banking industry by day and helped out Don at night. Linda then decided to become a permanent partner with Don and his father and tirelessly contributed her expertise assisting to operate, establish and build an irrigation construction company here in Calgary. In Linda’s spare time, she loved listening to music, long walks on the beach on vacations in Central America, boating, fishing and travelling about looking for that next new beach or waterfall. She was an unbelievable navigator of the roads in Central America and saved the day many times over. Besides her loving husband of thirty-five years, Donald Brock, Linda is survived by her brother Jim Pedersen; her uncle Herman Gron; as well as her many extended Brock and Bowman family members, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Linda had many friends in Canada, USA, Costa Rica and Belize who knew her well, Linda will be greatly missed by all she had ever met throughout her lifetime. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
