Obituary of Douglas John Frank HOWIE

Douglas Howie, beloved partner of Nancy Cooke, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the age of 72 years.

Douglas was born in Calgary, AB on October 25, 1947. He spent eight years in Kelowna, BC, where he met many new friends and had lots of dear old friends to spend his leisure time with. He always enjoyed reunions with all of them. Douglas graduated from the SAIT University with a degree in business, and was a member of the Parkinson’s society of BC in his later years.

Besides his loving partner, Douglas is survived by his brother Dennis (Betty) Howie, his nephews, Chad (Rachel) Howie, and Darren (Nadia) Howie; and four great-nieces and great-nephews, Ava, Aubrey, Malika, and Alec Howie; as well as numerous cousins and friends. Douglas was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Jack Howie.
