Obituary of Alexander “Roy” MARKS

Roy (Irish) Marks of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the age of 76 years.

Roy was born in Belfast, N. Ireland on January 5, 1944. He immigrated to Canada in 1972 where he found a proud and lengthy career at Chevron Canada.

Roy accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his three sons, Greg, Jeff (Jaime), and Brad (Sarah); three grandchildren, Candace, Kayley and Carson; and step-grandson Braden.  

Roy often enjoyed a pint at the pub with his many good friends, and occasionally took their money at the poker table. He claimed that a person could live forever on Guinness alone; it turns out he wasn’t far off but it will actually only get you 76 great and memorable years.
