Obituary of Dorothy Gladys BROWN

Dorothy Brown, beloved wife of Roderick Brown, of Okotoks, AB, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 87 years.

The middle of three siblings Dorothy was born in Crossfield, AB on October 14, 1933 eventually moving to Green Valley Farm South of Midnapore. Dorothy married Roderick Brown in 1952 and remained in the hamlet of Midnapore raising their family until later moving to Okotoks. In retirement, Dorothy and Rod enjoyed spending their winters in Casa Grande, Arizona along with numerous trips to Laughlin, Nevada. Dorothy enjoyed camping with friends and family, social and family gatherings including family game nights where she often giggled as she made away with the winnings. She will be most remembered for her wonderful smile, positive attitude and strong spirit.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Rod, children, Karen (George) Norrie, Brent Brown, Darcy (Margaret) Brown, Brenda Brown, and Mark (Kari) Brown; as well as fourteen grandkids and twelve great grandkids. She is also survived by her sister Edith Barkley, brother Norman (Carol) Morrison as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Gladys Morrison, and daughter-in-law Marilyn (Norrie) Brown.
