Elizabeth MacDonald passed away peacefully at home in Calgary, AB, on October 17, 2020.

Elizabeth was born in Ravensburg, Germany on June 25, 1930 to Pauline and Benedikt Waidmann. She mastered seven languages, sold land from Texas to Alaska, was a prolific writer, and mentored many in life and legal issues. Personal friend and mentor to Gail Vickery, Alberta’s First female Chief Justice. Her love for animals and people is a legacy. Truly a woman ahead of her times, she will be missed and loved forever.

She is survived and loved by her son Lemuel Alexander Benedikt MacDonald and her granddaughter Cassandra Alexis Safran MacDonald.
