Helen was a wonderful, kind and generous person. At the time when she was downsizing from her house to move to the seniors residence she decided to donate many items of furniture to support Saint David's United Church Tibetan refugee project. I remember one trip in particular where we took her large sofa to a Tibetan residence. She accompanied the trip to deliver the sofa and took great pleasure and had a good laugh watching a young Tibetan toddler having great fun bouncing on her sofa.

As a member of the Tole Painters society, Dot had many wonderful paint-ins and trips to places like New York, and enjoyed many laughes with Helen and friends. She was an avid painter and could not keep up with the many projects she had on the go. Her secret stash of wood was endless, and even out of bounds by her husband Cec. She had many friends and will be missed by all.
