Obituary of Tina Louise SHANDERA

June 24, 1977 – Calgary, Alberta February 19, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta Tina Louise Shandera, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of 41 years. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Tina obtained an Accounting Diploma from SAIT, a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge, and a Masters of Project Management from the University of Adelaide. Throughout her career, she fulfilled a variety of roles, including financial advisor and cost controller for Shell Canada, and team leader and project controller for AXYS Environmental. Tina was passionate about her cats, friends, music, travel, fine food and a good serialized drama. With an infectious laugh, Tina embraced life and helped those around her find joy and happiness. An avid music lover, Tina attended many concerts and music festivals and volunteered for 20 years at the Nickelodeon Music Club (The Nick), where she ran the kitchen and helped out in other areas where she could lend a hand. Tina is survived by her partner, Marc Waugh; parents, Brenda and Gerald Shandera of Calgary, Alberta; brothers, Brad and Gary of Calgary, Alberta; Grandma Dunning of Cranbrook, British Columbia; her cats, Storm and Wint; many friends; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins across Canada. She is predeceased by her two other cats, Blue and Prince. A Celebration of Tina’s Life will be held at a later date.
