Obituary of Richard (Rick) Edward Armand VALOIS

Richard (Rick) Valois, beloved husband of Janet Adriana Maria Valois (nee Van Horen) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the age of 66 years.

Rick was born in Mattawa, ON, on January 1, 1954.

Rick graduated from Canadore College, in North Bay, ON, with a degree in Hotel and Resort Management. Rick worked for Smurfit MBI as a millwright for thirty years. Following his retirement he operated a dog sitting business from his home, which became his passion.

Rick married Janet Adriana Valois on May 17, 1975.

Rick was a devoted father and husband and a great friend to many. He will be remembered for his amazing sense of humour, love for animals, and lifelong supporter of the Calgary Flames.

Besides his loving wife, Rick is survived by his children, Russel Valois, and Tamara Valois; and his daughter-in-law Melissa Valois. Rick was the proud grandfather of Logan Valois and Scarlett Valois.
