Obituary of Gunter August Fischer

October 27, 2020 - Calgary, Alberta
Gunter Fischer, beloved husband of Ilse Fischer, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at the age of 86 years.
Gunter was born in Ludwigshafen Am Rhein, Germany on June 14, 1934. Gunter married Ilse in 1959 and they spent 60 wonderful years together. He was a member of the German Canadian Male Chorus of Calgary since 1983. Gunter lived his life in service to others and their happiness meant the most to him. Gunter enjoyed fishing and was very passionate about singing. Gunter’s most memorable vacation was when he went to Germany to visit his twin brother Klaus for their 80th birthday.
He will be most remembered for his kindness and generosity. Thank you for touching our hearts with the precious gift of your presence. You will be in our hearts always.
Besides his loving wife, Gunter is survived by his daughter Iris Fischer, of Calgary, AB, and half-brother Rainer Fischer, of Germany. Gunter was predeceased by his son Andre Fischer, twin brother Klaus Fischer, of Germany, and eldest brother Winfred Fischer, of Innisfail, AB.
