Obituary of Jean “Eddy” FLEUZINORD

October 27, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep and immeasurable sadness that the family of Jean Eddy Fleuzinord announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Calgary, AB.

Eddy was born in Haiti, and moved to Montreal as a young adult. After several years he moved to Calgary, AB, where he continued his studies, and embarked on his professional career in the field of IT. Eddy graduated from SAIT, and was employed with Parts Canada. He was also an engaged citizen in his community and spent many hours volunteering with varying organizations in the city, giving back to those in need.

Eddy will be remembered by his presence in the lives of the people around him. He was a loving and devoted son, cousin, uncle, godfather and friend, who made great efforts to invest his time with those close to him. He would always stop by his friends and family members houses with a smile on his face, sharing in joy and laughter and ready to serve in any way he could. He loved to travel, and fortunately was able to see many parts of the world and experience different cultures. He loved nature, and loved hiking in the Rocky Mountains. He always looked forward to climbing all the way to the peak. He was deeply committed to education, and he was passionate about life-long learning. He also worked hard to support others in pursuit of their own educational goals, especially those back home in Haiti. Those close to him will remember how he always had a book and journal with him.

There are no words to express what Eddy meant to each of us, whose life he touched. We will be forever changed with the loss of his life, but his legacy and the impact he made during his time here will always be with us. Eddy’s life exemplifies so much accomplishment and promise, that can never be replaced or forgotten, and we are filled with gratitude for every moment of his life.

We love you and will miss you forever Eddy.

Eddy is survived by his father Vanel Fluezinord, his stepmother Adeline Fleuzinord and other members of the Bella, Dazulme, Ovilmar, Thelisma, Desorme and Joasil families. Eddy was preceded in death by his mother Fonette Dazulme.
