Obituary of Laurel V PAUL

Laurel Paul, beloved husband of Constance (Connie) Mary (nee Kemper) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the age of 77 years with his family by his side.

He was born to parents Kenneth and Laura Paul, on March 24, 1943, in Cardston, AB. He was the second youngest of eight. Laurel graduated from Winston Churchill High School and then started work for Scott National. At this juncture he met his future wife, Connie Kemper, in 1963. He married Connie, the love of his life, in 1964. His biggest passion was his family. He lit up whenever he talked about his family. Laurel loved animals both big and small. Riding horses was a favourite past-time. He was a kind and gentle soul who would do anything to help others.

Besides his loving wife Connie, Laurel is survived by his two sons, Boyd, and Gerald (Giorgia); grandchildren, Dylan and Kaitlyn; sister Shirley, sister-in-law Bobbi and two brothers, Dale (Beth) and Don (Bernice). Laurel was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Laura Paul; brothers, Jim (Shirlie), Marvin (Janice), Terry; brother-in-law Dean and sister Charlotte who died in infancy.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Father Lacombe Care Centre (East Wing) for the loving care of Laurel in his last days.

Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (30 Everstone Blvd. SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. Graveside Service will be held in Lethbridge, AB at a later date in spring 2021.
