Obituary of George Ramsey CRAIGAN

July 19, 1927– Newtownards, Northern Ireland 
November 1, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness the family of George Ramsey Craigan, announce his passing on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the age of 93, in Calgary, AB. His two children were by his side.

George was born in Newtownards, Northern Ireland on July 19, 1927.  He came to Canada in 1949 and moved to Calgary in 1957 where he met his wife Joan.  They were married for 60 years.  

George lived a fulfilling life as a father, husband, grandfather, brother and friend.  He enjoyed coin collecting, reading and working in his garden and green house. 

George is survived by his son Allan Craigan of Calgary, AB; daughter Colleen McDonald, son-in-law Todd and granddaughter Spencer of Sherwood Park, AB.  He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth McClelland; as well as many nieces and nephews here in Canada, Northern Ireland and the USA.  

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Joan Craigan; parents John and Maggie Craigan (Hamilton); and brothers, Jack, Stanley and William.
