Condolences
I’m very sorry to read about John’s passing. He was a wonderful man & I fondly remember him calling me “Spitfire” & his hugs & welcoming manner. Condolences to all the family.
Our sincere condolences to John's family. We only got to meet John once. During these trying times with covid our crew took the fire engine and rescue over to John's nursing home for a driveby and outside walk around back in April. One of the care aids had John on one of the balconies and told us he was a retired CFD member. Although it was a limited conversation between John and our crew, John was very enthusiastically waving at us with both hands. It was a very good day. You could tell John had retired but never left the CFD. To all the family our heartfelt thoughts and prayers. D shift 11 Station CFD.
Condolences and prayers to the Jordhoy family
I knew John from his time in swimming and efforts in designing Lindsay Park.
He was a mentor who influenced my envolment as a volunteer in swimmingand I have fond memories of sharing coffee in his Triwood kitchen.
