Obituary of Lucille Ann SCHWARTZENBERGER

June 22, 1933 – Trossachs, Saskatchewan
November 3, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Lucille (Lu) Schwartzenberger of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the age of 87 years after her final battle with cancer.

Born in Trossachs, SK, Lu moved to Calgary in 1956 where she met and married her husband Ray in 1965. After years as a full-time homemaker, she went on to pursue entrepreneurial ventures including becoming a colour and fashion consultant and representing a clothing line. 

Lu lived a full and active life. She travelled extensively and enjoyed lawn bowling, yoga, and playing bridge with several groups. However her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was just visiting, playing a round of cribbage or cheering on her grandsons at their hockey games. She will be most remembered for her strength of character, unfaltering positive attitude and her kind and welcoming nature. 

Lu is survived by her sons, Kurt (Karyn) and their children, Ryan and Hannah; and Greg (Debbie) and their children, Sarah, Nicole and Sophie; and daughter Megan (Wayne) Davies and their children, Rachel and Nathan. Lu is also survived by her sister Rita Campbell of Kamloops, BC, brother Dean (Delores) of Weyburn, SK, and sister Yvonne of Vancouver, BC. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Amelia Miller, her husband Ray, brother Maurice and her brother-in-law John Campbell.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19 there will only be a private funeral service.
