Obituary of Arvid (Phip) Schelwin CECIL

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Arvid (Phip) Schelwin Cecil on Saturday, October 31, 2020. 

Arvid (Phip) was a kind, humble, caring, and loving person with a good sense of humour. He cherished and loved his children and grandsons unconditionally. He loved writing songs, and enjoyed playing his bass guitar. He also enjoyed playing sports (baseball, basketball, volleyball, and badminton), and he was a big fan of the Calgary Flames. 

Arvid (Phip) is survived by his children, DeAngelo (Jealyn), Maui and Sky Paris, Jonas and Ingrid; grandsons, Cervauntes and Greyson; friend and mother of his children, Lisa Powderface; father Franklin Cecil, brothers, Rosavelt, Tercyak, and Chad; sisters, Teshalene (Brent), and Jeralyn; uncles, John and Irby; aunties, Marvalene, Sylvia, Nelda, Cindy, and Nancy. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Lisa Powderface (Morley, AB) on Sunday, November 8, 2020 and at the residence of Franklin Cecil on Monday, November 9, 2020.  Funeral Services will be held at the Residence of Franklin Cecil (Morley, AB) on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.  Graveside Service to follow at the Family Cemetery (Morley, AB).  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Arvid’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
